AN UNLUCKY in love Chester woman will appear on a TV dating show on Saturday hoping to meet her match.

Holly-Jade Venning, 26, of Faulkner Street, Hoole, is on ITV’s Take Me Out – hosted by Paddy McGuinness – on Saturday night at 9pm. But she remained tight-lipped on whether she bagged a date.

“I thought of it as an experience, you get the opportunity go away and be treated like a princess and I might find someone nice,” said Holly-Jade, who works in PR.

“I wasn’t really allowed to tell anyone about it so I just told a handful of close friends and family.

“They all thought I was mad, but they weren’t surprised and said it was ‘so me’.

“It was a lot of fun. I got on really well with all the girls, everyone was lovely, and I will stay in touch with them for a long time.”

The show sees four bachelors attempting to impress 30 single girls to secure a date at an island retreat where the couples can enjoy horse riding, wine tasting, helicopter rides and spa treatments.

“I’m not very lucky in love,” added Holly-Jade, who was asked to appear on the show following an audition for the X Factor.

“I’d just split up with a very long term boyfriend and was devastated and then I got the post from Take Me Out through the letterbox. I just decided to go for it.

“I’ve not really got aspirations to be on any more TV shows. When I was younger I was in the National Youth Theatre and I’m looking to join a local theatre company.”
