A CREATIVE collective of artists celebrated their first exhibition at Erddig this month.

Hoole Community Centre-based The Good Lookers, a group of amateur artists all aged over 50, exhibited work at Erddig’s gallery.

“The Good Lookers are a group of local artists who have been working together for the last five years,” said a group spokesman.

“The group first came together on a course at Hoole Community Centre Starting with Abstract Art and, having started, found we couldn’t stop.

“We continue to develop and refine our ideas and visual language under the auspices of the WEA on Friday mornings at Hoole Community Centre.

“We are mainly local people with some coming from Wirral, Wrexham and Flintshire.

“Age is no barrier to developing the imagination – at least one member is 84.

“We would like to expand our numbers this coming September.

“So if you are also good at looking, enjoy visiting galleries, enjoy studying other artists, are willing to experiment and share ideas with others why not join us?”
