A 49-YEAR-OLD man convicted of criminal damage and public order offences has been banned from Chester city centre as part of a Criminal Anti-Social Behaviour Order.

Neil Barry McKibbon, of no fixed abode, was fined £50 in April for using threatening words or behaviour in Frodsham Street, Chester, and for damaging a police cell.

The CRASBO was granted against McKibbon for a period of five years.

During this time, McKibbon is prohibited from:

Acting in a manner that causes or is likely to cause alarm, harassment or distress to anyone not of the same household, anywhere in England and Wales

Entering Chester city centre – save to attend Chester Magistrates’ Court or Chester Crown Court when listed as a defendant or witness.

The CRASBO was applied for by Cheshire Constabulary and Cheshire West and Chester Council.

Sergeant Amanda Shaw of the Chester Inner Neighbourhood Policing Unit said: “We applied to protect residents and visitors to Chester. Everyone who comes into Chester city centre has the right to be here without feeling threatened or intimidated. We will continue to make applications against individuals who act in an anti-social manner.”
