A VILLAGE church has organised a range of activities as part of a Daffodil Festival later on this month.

The Holy Ascension Daffodil Festival in Upton will take place from March 18–21.

The church will be open from 11am–7pm each day and entrance will be free although donations will be welcome for church funds.

Food and crafts will be served in the Kempe Room.

The festival opens with a service on Thursday, March 18 at 11am followed by lunch in the Kempe Room.

Friday, March 19 will see the Fellowship Lent Lunch take place and all proceeds from that will be given to Christian Aid.

On Friday evening, there will be a celebration of poems, music, gardeners’ chat and displays connected with daffodils and spring.

On Saturday, March 20, food will be served all day in church and a cake stall will be on sale provided by Crosswaves to help to raise funds for their weekend away in May.
