It’s believed Ricky had been at the races when he teamed up with Pauline Brenda Williams and James Button who previously auditioned on The X Factor .
The Lovelies think it was his girlfriend Marie Pollard who filmed the video of Ricky singing Don’t Look Back In Anger.
The hilarious scene, in front of a boarded up unit in Bridge Street, shows passersby capturing the moment on their phones while race-goers either encourage his vocal efforts or stagger past completely oblivious.
Pauline and James, who say they first met in a Chester pub, appeared as The Lovelies on ITV ’s The X Factor in 2014.
The wacky duo performed a rendition of Georgie Girl, originally by The Seekers, with James on acoustic guitar and Pauline on tambourine.
After their performance, judge and record producer Simon Cowell said: “If I’m being honest with you The Lovelies I didn’t imagine a group like that winning the show. It was a little bit crazy.
“You were a little bit over excited but I like you two.”
Louis Walsh added: “We’ve never had a act like it before, you’re different than everybody else.”
After only one yes vote from Cheryl Cole - who said: “I love your message of happiness and a bit of tambourine action never hurt anyone” - sadly The Lovelies did not make it to the next round but Cowell praised them saying: “You gave it your best shot and I’m definitely going to remember you.”
