PUPILS went back in time to the Tudor era to learn about history and traditions of the time.

Year 3 and 4 at Eccleston Primary School embraced the Tudor lifestyle by dressing up in elaborate clothes and eating traditional foods at a banquet.

The medieval menu included eels in brown sauce, rustic bread, gammon and blang mang.

Tom Hughes, known as Tudor Tom from the Salt Museum in Northwich, helped the mood of the event by playing music, prompting the children to get involved in some Tudor dancing.
