A HIGHER Kinnerton fundraiser is holding a revived charity event tomorrow (Friday) in aid of a good cause.

The superstars tournament will see 24 competitors head all over North East Wales and Chester to take part in a range of sporting disciplines.

Organiser Ken Doerr said: “In Higher Kinnerton we started a veterans football team and over the years we did superstars tours.

“This year we are raising money for Claire House Children’s Hospice, the first time we are holding one for six years after we lost our original venue.

“We have golf, go-karting, clay pigeon shooting, tenpin bowling, cricket, table tennis and we have a 60-yard wet welly dash.

“The superstars event finishes with a barbecue, a bar and karaoke in a fundraising party.

“There are 24 people taking part, the most we have ever done.

“We are hoping to raise as much money as possible as every little helps and there should be about 100 people at the party.

“We have received support from MBNA.”
