A CHURCH hall in Helsby will be transformed as residents celebrate the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

At 6pm, residents dressed in their Sunday best will fill the hall at St Paul's Church in Helsby to toast the royal couple and enjoy an evening of music and dancing.

The event has been sold out for weeks and about 60 residents are expected to join in the celebrations, after watching the wedding earlier in the day.

The party has been organised by members of the Mother's Union, who meet regularly in St Paul's Church Hall. All money raised will be put towards the running of the church.
