A WARM welcome was made to record-breaking numbers of new members at Helsby Golf Club.
The Towers Lane club, which recently announced new captains Martin Mann and Sheila Fenwick, held a new members evening, including a nine-hole competition, and refreshments at the clubhouse.
Spokeswoman Kathryn Hoather said: “The opportunity to play the course and meet existing members was much appreciated by the new members and several commented the friendly reputation of the club and the great course attracted them to Helsby.”
