A LITTLE girl needs your help after losing her favourite cuddly monkey on a shopping trip in Chester.

Two-and-a-half year-old Louisa Beddows from Upton, Chester, is heart-broken after her pet monkey ‘Ooh, Ooh’ got left behind in McDonald’s, Foregate Street, about midday last Saturday (September 18).

Parents Luke and Julie, 24, went straight back to the fast food store on realising the monkey had gone walkabout but to no avail.

“She’s had him forever,” said Luke, 27, a mechanic for First Bus in Liverpool Road, who has contacted local media, made posters and even offered a cash reward.

“She’s gone into herself and is quiet. She keeps saying he’s lost and ‘I’ve lost ‘Ooh, Ooh’ ’.”

Luke said there was a period when Louisa was in and out of hospital but her monkey would always accompany her.

“He’s the comforter. He goes everywhere with her,” added the loving father, who explained that the monkey even had his own table when he went with Louisa to the childminder.

Luke and Julie, a senior carer employed by Cheshire West and Chester Council, even bought an identical monkey at the same time as ‘Ooh Ooh’ just in case the cuddly toy should ever go astray. But unlike her ‘old and scraggy’ toy, the replacement is brand-new and Louisa isn’t fooled and calls him ‘Brother’.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of ‘Ooh, Ooh’ is asked to call Julie on 07745 109156. They ask that people do not make hoax calls.
