More than 22,000 stylish racegoers descended on the Roodee in Chester for the Echo Falls Ladies Day.

Seven races entertained the crowds with Double Touch, Partitia, Muntahaa, Breakable, Judicial, Chocala and Lady Clair all taking top spot at the winning post.

Title sponsor Echo Falls decanted free samples of their new Fruit Fusions range and treated racegoers with weary feet to complimentary flip-flops to ease the journey home at the end of the day.

A pony troupe dressed for the occasion entertained younger racegoers with free pony rides out on the open course and bucket collectors raising money for charity at the exits were from Nightingale House Hospice.

The popular photo booth was back, festively themed, offering racegoers the chance to win a Christmas party for them and nine friends, courtesy of Chester Race Company’s catering and events company Horseradish. Hannah Roberts was selected as the lucky winner and will step into her Christmas party at the racecourse in December.

Polo returns to the Roodee on September 2 and 3 as teams Laurent-Perrier, MBNA, Style Matters and Chase go head to head to take home the MBNA Roodee Challenge Cup and £10,000 prize money.
