Two vehicles have been involved in a collision on the A51 Tarvin Road this afternoon (September 6).

The road was closed for a period while emergency services attended the incident, which occurred at around 4.20pm between Tarvin Roundabout and the Vicars Cross Interchange.

The road was reopened shortly before 4.50pm, but traffic in the area is still heavy and moving slowly.

Police have advised motorists to seek alternative routes if possible.
