A BROWNIE pack welcomed a very special four-legged visitor.
Black Labrador Piper, two, a specially-trained hearing dog, paid a visit to the 18th Chester Brownies in Westminster Park with her owner Ruth Allen to help the girls achieve their Friends to Animals badge.
Brown Owl Jan Hooper said: “The girls were all fascinated, and Ruth and Piper were able to demonstrate how they work together.
“Piper will nudge Ruth if the doorbell or telephone rings. I thought it would be good for the girls to see how useful hearing dogs are.”
Jan added that all 24 Brownies, aged between seven and 10 years old, passed their new badge with flying colours.
