Students of The Hammond Preparatory School visited The Grosvenor Museum and The Military Museum as part of their history curriculum studies.

Years 3, 4 and 5 went to see the Roman Galleries and then took to the streets of Chester as Roman Soldiers, marching and then forming the ‘Tortoise’ which really brought Roman Chester to life for them.

They then took part in a workshop on ‘The  Romans’ with an education officer at the museum.

The Year 6 children took part in a Second World War workshop at The Grosvenor Museum and then went to visit The Military Museum.

The Hammond Preparatory School would like to say a ‘big thank you’ to the staff at the museums, who made this an exciting and inspiring day for them.
