THE Lord Mayor of Chester, Councillor Eleanor Johnson, officially opened a beauty room at The Grove Salon in Hoole on Saturday.

The salon, which opened in September 2009, has extended into neighbouring premises and now offers a range of health and beauty services, which include hydrotherapy massage, nail enhancements, eyelash and eyebrow tinting and shaping, semi-permanent eyelashes, and non-surgical facelifts.

At the launch, salon owner Eileen Reisin welcomed health and beauty therapist Tracy Tate to the salon’s team. Customers enjoyed a glass of Buck’s Fizz and listened to local jazz singer Irene Martin. Irene was also one of the models for the day, along with Freya Reisin and Sarah Williams, who demonstrated hair and make-up.

The event also showcased other local business, including Felicity Hat Hire in Boughton and LA Beauty in Hoole who provided accessories and jewellery.

The Lord Mayor congratulated Eileen on her success at getting her business off the ground, and said: “In these modern times we are all encouraged to work in partnership, which is just what Eileen has done, in working with Felicity Hat Hire and LA Beauty. I would like to wish Grove Salon the best wishes for the future.”
