A woman from Guilden Sutton accused of murder fainted as she appeared at crown court for the first time.
Katrina Walsh, 55, of Hare Lane, who is charged with killing 60-year-old Sadie Hartley, collapsed as she was led up to face the judge via video link from jail on January 22.
As the 55-year-old was brought into the room she began breathing heavily and fell to the floor before the prison sharply shut off the link.
Williams spoke only to confirm her name and that she could hear proceedings from HMP Styal, where she is being held.
Ms Hartley, a company director at Hartley Taylor medical communications, was found dead with multiple stab wounds at her home in Sunny Bank Road, Helmshore, Lancashire on January 15.
Neither Williams or Walsh entered a plea.
Both defendants will remain in custody until the next hearing on May 4.
A provisional trial date has been set for Preston Crown Court on July 4.
