MORE than a dozen voluntary and community groups are better off after receiving cheques from Vale Royal CVS last night.

Wincap, Vale Royal Inclusive Trampolining Club, Winsford Town Festival, Jumping Jelly Beans, Lostock Green Parent and Toddler Group, Winsford Arthritis Care, Mid Cheshire Camcorder Club, Lostock Monday Club, Winsford Mind, Friends of Comberbach School, Children's Adventure Farm Trust, Survive and Winsford Youth Forum received funds from Vale Royal Borough Council and the Central Cheshire Primary Care Trust via the CVS.

A spokesman said: 'The cash is distributed each year by the CVS on behalf of the Voluntary Sector Forum and is intended to fund small local projects which improve the quality of life or to support the running costs of the groups involved.'
