Chester shopping hub, Grosvenor Shopping Centre, asked shoppers to pucker up in the name of Claire House Children’s Hospice this weekend.

As part of its Merry Kissmass campaign, the shopping centre invited Christmas shoppers to step into a photo booth and have their photos taken, with lips and heart props, for a calendar to raise funds for the local charity.

Shopping Centre Manager, Julie Webb, said: “Our Merry Kissmass campaign is all about reminding people what Christmas is really all about: appreciating our loved ones. We want to spread a lot of love to Claire House, which is such a worthy cause.”

Twelve photos of shoppers will be selected to appear in the Share the Love for Claire House calendar, available to buy from Calendar Club, in Grosvenor Shopping Centre, and Claire House stores, on Frodsham Street and in Hoole. All proceeds from the sales of the calendar will be donated to Claire House.

Abi Smith, area fundraising manager for Claire House Children’s Hospice, said: “We’re over the moon that Grosvenor Shopping Centre has chosen us as the beneficiary of its calendar and it’s great to see how many people have supported the project by getting involved in the photo booth.”

“The calendar is the perfect stocking filler and a chance to support a fantastic local charity,” added Julie.

Shoppers were thrilled to take prints of their Merry Kissmass photo booth experience home with them as a memento.

Grosvenor Shopping Centre’s Merry Kissmass campaign continues until December 19. Shoppers can pick up ‘packs of kisses’ in the centre to enter its festive competition to be in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes including a night’s stay at the Grosvenor Hotel, an iPad and much more.
