THE GROSVENOR Shopping Centre will be championing the great food of Cheshire with a week-long event.
Organised as part of this year’s Chester Food & Drink Festival, the centre will be tantalising shoppers taste buds with a series of exhibits, taster sessions and competitions from some of the region’s leading producers.
Continuing until Sunday, April 24, highlights include Chester wine specialist, Region Wine, who will be displaying their quality wines from all over the world, with mouth-watering taster sessions of their finest white, red and rose wines.
Shoppers with a sweet tooth can also enjoy the creations of hand made chocolate specialist, Anne Petrovic, who will be exhibiting a selection of chocolates from her Crewe-based business, Konfections. Exhibiting previously at the Nantwich Show and Tatton Park Christmas Show, Anne will be inviting shoppers to try an array of hand made truffles and violet and rose crèmes.
Dessert lovers will also adore the products served up by award-winning company, The Pudding Compartment, who will be displaying their range of delicious steamed puddings and cheesecakes. Handcrafted and made to order, owners Steve and Juliet West will be displaying their award-winning Ginger Steamed Pudding, which won a ‘Great Taste Award’ in 2008.
Julie Webb, manager of The Grosvenor Shopping Centre Chester, commented: “The event will provide the perfect opportunity for shoppers to take some time out and enjoy a selection of delicious Cheshire produce.”
