TWO final-year graphic design students at Mid Cheshire College have freely donated their time and skills to produce a marketing campaign for West Cheshire Credit Union, a not-for-profit financial co-operative based in Chester.

Rob Sherratt and Ryan Boden accepted the brief as part of their final year project and spent time with Credit Union development officer, Helen Wilman, learning about the services provided by West Cheshire Credit Union and its particular ethos and values.

John Dearnley, volunteer marketing director for West Cheshire Credit Union, said: “As a local community organisation we have a small marketing budget, but a very important message of good financial management to communicate to all residents of Cheshire West and Chester.

“Rob and Ryan have done a fantastic job in designing a professional, eye-catching campaign which captures our ethical, local and caring values as well as being thought-provoking.”

The posters will appear in children’s centres, shops, community venues and churches to encourage more people to save with the credit union as an alternative to high-cost lenders including loan sharks.
