A CASH pot of up to £100,000 is still available to small firms in Halton through the European Objective 2 programme.
Businesses have until September before any surplus money has to be returned to Brussels.
Business Link for Greater Merseyside is administering the programme.
Russell McGrath, Business Link's business and skills team leader for Runcorn, said: 'Over the past three years, we have helped either create or safeguard more than 1,000 local jobs.
'There are still chances to achieve more before the Objective 2 element of our work finishes.'
