Active youngsters are being invited to swing through the tree tops as part of a new adventure course at Delamere Forest.

Go Ape has opened its Tree Top  Junior site for children over the age of six (or anyone over one metre tall), who can now join in  the fun and explore the canopy too.

The development comes in addition to existing courses at Go Ape, which already offers visitors  aged 10 and over the chance to swing through the trees. Having welcomed plenty of visitors in 2013, Go Ape Delamere’s new Tree Top Junior course is expected to be just as in demand with both local residents and visitors to the area.

Tree Top Junior allows young adventurers to spend a fun-filled hour exploring the canopy with family and friends.

Young Tarzans can make their way through looping obstacles including the spider’s web, log balance, jungle crossing, and finish  on a high with a zip-wire.

Upon completion of the course, all participants are awarded a personalised certificate to take home.

Children aged younger than six  (who are over one metre tall) are  welcome to participate but must be accompanied by an adult. The safety systems are designed so  that participants stay attached the whole time.

James Godfrey, course manager at Go Ape Delamere, said: “We are really excited for the launch of our new Tree Top Junior course at Go Ape Delamere.

“Welcoming monkeys both big and small, Go Ape makes for a great family day out and an ideal location for birthday parties. We’re all about living life adventurously and want to see both local families and visitors up in  the trees.”

Set in the beautiful surroundings of Delamere Forest, Go Ape Delamere can be found just off the B5152. Go Ape is the ultimate family day out, whatever the weather
