TENNIS players at a Chester club are celebrating following a successful summer season.
The Glan Aber Lawn Tennis Club’s Men’s A team won the Chester and District Tennis League First Division for the first time since the league began in 1980.
The team played 14 matches, of which they won 13 and drew one. The squad included Ian Britton (captain), Phil Webb, Pete Edwards, Adam Holloway, Cameron Hogg, Will Grattan and Will Griffith.
The Ladies B team won Division 3 and the Men’s B team came second.
The club, in Westminster Park, achieved Clubmark accreditation this year which recognises good practice and an extensive coaching programme.
