Chester’s Hammond School is celebrating an excellent year for GCSE results - with 94% of students securing A*-C grades.
There were some shining stars who achieved exceptional results, including dance student Chloe Jones who got 7 A*s and 1 A, drama students Tom Meadows and Jessica Boden both getting 1 A* and 3 As; and Isabella Jeffrey celebrating 2 A*s and 2 As.
Principal Maggie Evans acknowledged the hard work of staff and students to achieve success, and said: “This has been an exciting year in the school’s growth and development culminating in excellent results with several departments, such as Drama, Art and Design, Business Studies and Music, all achieving 100% A* - B Grades.
“Many of the students will be staying with us to join one of our post-16 courses in Dance, Musical Theatre or Drama but we wish each of our Year 11 students, whatever they are doing next, a happy and successful future career.”
