Mid Cheshire College learners are celebrating their GCSE results in maths, science and English.

The college has seen particular success in learners’ achieving A-E grades, with 80% of learners achieving those grades in English and 84% in maths.

Science this year has done extremely well with more than 82% of learners achieving a C grade or above.

Principal Richard Hollywood said: “The acquisition of a GCSE English and Maths for a young person is becoming more and more important and we have seen a significant increase in the number of students retaking their GCSE’s after leaving school.

“Once again, it is pleasing to see so many passing this year.

“Mid Cheshire College is also one of very few Colleges in Cheshire who offer GCSE science and we have seen a record number of students achieving A*-C grades.”
