CLAIRE House Children’s Hospice has received a £2,500 donation towards maintaining and updating its multi-sensory room.
The money was pledged by industrial recruitment specialists Gap Personnel.
Claire House’s area fundraiser Lynn Taylor said: “It is great to show our local companies the work we do here and it’s incredible that after visiting Claire House, Gap has decided to fund such a vital part of the hospice.
“Our multi-sensory room helps our children develop their senses in a fun environment that can involve the whole family, including siblings, and will be much used and loved by everyone at Claire House.
“We are extremely grateful to Gap for helping us provide this.”
Sarah Helms, manager of Gap Personnel, said: “We are thrilled to support such a worthwhile cause.
“Claire House does incredible work caring for young people and children across the region and the multi-sensory room is an important feature.
“There is plenty of evidence showing that multi-sensory play offers many benefits especially for children with neurological disorders and other complex medical conditions.”
Gap Personnel’s national headquarters are in Wrexham and the company has a branch in Crewe.
