THE funeral of an eight-year-old boy who died at a birthday party in Chester will be held tomorrow.
Adam Winfindale collapsed after a suspected asthma attack at Chester Quasar in Volunteer Street on Sunday, June 5.
Despite desperate efforts, medics were unable to save him and he was pronounced dead at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
The youngster, who was a pupil at Victoria Primary School in Wrexham, will be laid to rest at Wrexham Cemetery on Friday.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at St Giles Parish Church at 2pm and everyone who attends is being asked to wear brightly coloured clothing.
In a moving tribute, Adam’s parents Suzanne and Mark said: “Adam was a very popular, bright and achieving pupil at Victoria CP School and will be sadly missed by his school friends and teaching staff.
“Adam was also an enthusiastic member of the 6th Wrexham Cubs, achieving many awards, a member of the Wrexham Tennis Academy and enjoyed regular swimming lessons.
“Adam was an all-round sportsman with a bright academic future. A contented and happy boy, whose special smile brought fun to any occasion.”
Adam’s parents have requested family flowers only at the service, but donations in his memory will be collected via the church plate.
