A theatre arts school in Chester is providing the full children’s cast for Bill Kenwright’s production of Scrooge at its Blackpool and Llandudno performances.

Stagecoach Chester has 32 of its 300 pupils in the festive musical, which also stars Tommy Steele in the title role.

The youngsters were selected by teachers and the production’s children’s choreographer Cherida Langford – Bonnie Langford’s sister.

Principal of Stagecoach Chester, Lindsay Partington, said: “We are extremely proud of all of our students who take part in these shows. There is a lot of hard work and dedication required from the children and they never let us down.
