A PLUMBER has helped a youth football team by buying them a new kit.

Frodsham plumber Rory Woodhouse of Woodhouse Plumbing and Heating, Carriage Drive, donated the strip, bearing his company’s name, to Frodsham Town U10s football team.

Rory, a former Frodsham High School pupil, made the generous pledge to the club after hearing of their desperate appeal for a new strip.

He said: “I grew up in Frodsham and learnt my trade here so it’s nice to be able to give something back.

“Hopefully it’ll pay off as far as the league standings go. If nothing else it’ll get the lads out of those antique kits they had before.”

Frodsham U10s manager Chris Marks said: “It has given the team a boost, even I remember pulling a brand new shirt on for the first time and being proud to wear it.

“The one they’ve been wearing was in desperate need of replacement and thanks to Rory they’ve got it.

“It’s great that a local company has made the effort to sponsor us.”

Rory is offering 20% off to all pensioners in March and April and he has also expanded the heating side of the business and guarantees all enquiries will be dealt with within 24 hours.
