FRODSHAM’S new mayor, Cllr Geoff Bath, and outgoing mayor, Cllr Pammi Taylor, have donated a new trophy for the overall winner of the town’s annual best kept gardens competition.
It will be presented for the first time as part of this year’s celebrations marking Frodsham’s 800th anniversary.
The cup is inscribed with the names of the two councillors, whose terms of office overlap the anniversary year.
It was unveiled at Frodsham Town Council’s AGM this week, when Cllr Brian Lloyd was also installed as deputy mayor for 2009-10.
Cllr Taylor said: “We want to make all our events special this year and, between us, Cllr Bath and I have donated this cup for the very best garden in Frodsham.”
