Family fun will be on offer when Frodsham Summer Festival returns at the weekend.

Liverpool band China Crisis will headline the event upon its return to Saltworks Farm on Ship Street this weekend.

The festival will feature a football tournament, funfair, live music and a community day, which will bring all aspects of the community together including a performance by Frodsham Sings.

Mark Rowland, one of the organisers, said: “We are in our third year and it started from a one-day football tournament to a three-day, sports festival with live music as well.

“It promises to be a huge event and this year we have all the local schools involved by making a Hollywood sign with the town name of Frodsham.

“The letters will be at the entrance to the event and we will be looking for a place to display the letters after the event.”

Frodsham Summer Festival is being sponsored by Cheshire West and Chester Council , Frodsham Town Council , Hurst Joinery, CSS, Morrisons Frodsham and KDE Ltd.

Tickets for the music event at which China Crisis will play on Friday (July 10) cost £10, while the rest of the weekend is free.
