A FRODSHAM primary school raised more than £1,000 for the environment at its annual summer fair.

The event, held by Manor House’s Parent Teacher Association, included a sponsored toddle for the preschoolers, fancy dress competitions, beat the goalie, as well as live entertainment from Stars in their Eyes winner and past pupil Robbie Jackson, visits from the police and fire services, bouncy castles and the popular ‘dunk the headteacher’.

Proceeds from the day will go to the school’s Creating the Right Environment appeal.

And another successful event at the school was its annual sports day which was held slightly earlier than usual to make the most of the weather, and the conditions were just right for the competition.

The traditional style event included beanbag balancing, sack races, egg and spoon races, relays, skipping and even races for the pre-school and adults.

All children who participated won points for their house teams, with the blue team, called Penrith, being crowned eventual winners.
