After a year of fundraising, the pupils of Frodsham Manor House Primary School have welcomed visitors from Ghana.

Ten children aged between nine and 12 and three members of staff from the Living Star School are staying with host families in the town.

Since their arrival they have already attended an event at Castle Park where they were formally welcomed by the mayor Mallie Poulton.

They have spent a day in Blackpool where they visited the iconic tower and Frodsham Methodist Church.

The group were in Chester on Sunday for the Queen’s 90th birthday parade where the visitors performed alongside Frodsham pupils.

Other plans include a visit to Helsby High School, Old Trafford, Liverpool Cathedral and Synagogue and the city’s Adelphi Hotel as well as take lessons in school and participate in the summer musical production.
