CHRISTMAS arrives in Frodsham on Friday with the annual Frodsham Festival and Christmas lights switch-on.
The Christmas market opens at 2pm on the Main Street with festive stalls selling a range of food, drink and crafts.
In addition there will be a funfair at the back of the Bears Paw, plus live music and an outside bar at the back of The Queen’s Head. St Laurence’s Christmas Fair opens at 3pm.
Children can visit Santa's Grotto located at Frodsham Leisure Centre car park, Santa will arrive at his grotto at 3pm and will greet children until 9pm.
At 6pm, Les Harris Jewellers will be hosting a jazz band outside their shop with complimentary Buck’s Fizz and mince pies.
Castle Park Arts Centre is holding a Christmas festive evening including The Delamere Choir and festive Open floor poetry with guests, hosted by Angela Topping.
There will also be craft stalls, kids cards and decoration making. Entry is free between 4.30pm and 9.30pm.
The Mayor of Frodsham, Cllr Lynn Riley will switch the Christmas lights on at 6.30pm accompanied by fireworks.
The celebrations continue with the popular Christmas Lantern Parade including Santa and his reindeer (The Main Street will be closed to traffic during the parade).
