THE gloomy sky didn’t dampen spirits at the fifth Frodsham Charity Music Festival held atop Frodsham Hill on July 19, which raised an impressive £14,555 for local causes.

Crowds danced the afternoon and evening away to the eight local bands, who had all given their time up for free, at the sold-out event.

This year’s beneficiaries include Frodsham Silver Band, Frodsham District Guides, Halton Haven Hospice, MENCAP (Runcorn Branch), Frodsham Youth Club, 4th Frodsham Scout Group, Runcorn Rowing Club, Frodsham under 10s girl’s football team and a donation towards sending three local Scouts to the World Scout Jamboree in Japan.

The organisers wish to thank everyone who attended the event, the many sponsors who helped with donations and raffle prizes and Forest Hills Hotel for the unique venue.

The main event sponsor this year was RSK in Helsby and the stage was sponsored by Frodsham’s Complete Security Service.
