A CREWE woman is literally having to face up to her new found fame after being chosen to front a novel advertising campaign launched by a multinational gas and chemical firm.

Michelle Jackson, 44, of Renaissance Way, will have her image splashed along the sides of a fleet of Air Products tankers in a bid by the company's bosses to establish a more personal touch with its current and potential customer base.

Michelle, who has worked as a business development specialist at the firm's Weston Road base for 15 years, is the first UK Air Products employee to appear on the road tankers following a similar trial in America which proved successful.

The married mother-of-two is an expert at creating the best conditions at businesses to keep food fresh while packaged.

This process, known as MAP, uses liquid nitrogen and specialist technology produced by Air Products, which has two other Crewe sites in Westmere Drive and Fourth Avenue.

She said: 'I'm flattered to have been hand-picked for this campaign.

'It might not be as glamorous as promoting beauty products but I'm very excited to be involved.'
