A CHESHIRE West and Chester councillor has organised a free tea dance to celebrate Older People's Day.

Older people across Cheshire West are invited to take a twirl on the dance floor at Ellesmere Port Civic Hall on Monday, October 24, from 2-4pm as part of the continuing celebrations.

Councillor Keith Board, the council's newly appointed Older Person's Champion, has organised the event as one of his first tasks in the role.

The tea dance plans to emphasise this year's theme of getting and keeping active in later life.
