DIANA’S former butler Paul Burrell is among personalities taking part in Channel 4’s Celebrity Coach Trip.

Mr Burrell, who lives above his florists in Farndon, is no stranger to reality TV having come runner-up to Joe Pasquale in I’m A Celebrity – Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004.

Celebrity Coach Trip will see him join other well-known people aboard a holiday coach around the Med including former Big Brother contestants Nikki Grahame and Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace.

Also in tow are ex-Tory MP Edwina Currie and her husband John Jones together with comics Tommy Cannon and Bobby Ball plus former EastEnders stars Derek Martin and John Altman.

Mr Burrell may end up forming a bond with fellow traveller and etiquette expert Jean Broke-Smith given his background.

Mr Burrell previously appeared in the TV series Australian Princess and American Princess, in which he helped contestants learn high society manners as they transformed Cinderella-style from an ordinary girl into ‘a princess’.

But the former royal servant recently told The Chronicle at a party to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his Farndon shop that he was ‘not bothered about the limelight’ nowadays.

He also revealed he was suing News Corporation, alleging his mobile phone was hacked by the News of the World.

Celebrity Coach Trip guide Brendan Sheerin will be leading the trip which starts off in Ljubljana, Slovenia, before touring the Mediterranean.

Celebrity Coach Trip begins on Monday, January 16, on Channel 4.
