POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward after an old train station was targeted by vandals.

Vandals spray-painted the ground, fencing and signposts at the old Blacon station on Blacon Bridge on Sunday, March 7.

PCSO Matthew Browell said: “I would appeal for anyone who saw people acting suspiciously around the train station on Sunday evening to contact the police.

“I would also urge residents to call us if they suspect vandalism like this is about to happen. For example if someone has spray paint with them for no legitimate reason, contact the police with as much information as possible.

“Graffiti is not only expensive to remove but is also a blight on the area. I have spoken to the council about getting the graffiti removed as soon as possible.”
