A Chronicle investigation has found that careless police car drivers have had at least one accident at Frodsham station every year.

A Freedom of Information request that was put in by The Chronicle revealed that the number of accidents involving both marked and unmarked police cars in police station car parks across the force during the last three years.

Cheshire Police spokesperson Shelley Williams said: “The constabulary ensures that the officers and staff who have regular use of police vehicles, both in response policing and support roles, are suitably trained, and are subject to ongoing driving assessments at regular intervals.”

Nearby Northwich, also part of the Western Rural Neighbourhood Policing Unit, had no accidents during the last three years.
