WIN a family meal for five at Crewe's newest pub by showing your support for Becks and the boys.

The Chronicle has joined forces with the Waldron pub, Prince Albert Street, Crewe, to reward the family with the Best Dressed World Cup House.

Over the next month our photographers will be out and about snapping those houses and gardens decked out in flags and patriotic colours.

At the end of the tournament we will pick the best house from the pictures taken.

Waldron manager, Simone Williams, will join us in judging the entries.

She said: 'There was a fantastic atmosphere for the match on Saturday, and with weather being so beautiful, most customers took the opportunity to watch it on the big screen outside.

'We had table service to avoid crowding at the bar and sold barrels and barrels of the German real ale we put on specially for the day. This week we have introduced another, World Cup 40.

'There was huge relief when we won, and everyone started singing We are the Champions, including all the children with their parents.'

The pub is part of the Barracuda chain which has opened 180 new pubs and bars across the UK since being founded in 2000.

It is part of its up market Smith and Jones brand. Others include the student-orientated Varsity, South African-themed Barracuda Bars and community-focused Juniper.

Simone added: 'Since the VIP opening in December, customers have continued to pour in and it's nice to see ladies popping in for a coffee and chat during the day. It's a real family atmosphere, and already a 'local' to hundreds of regulars.'
