Five people have been arrested for burglary and vehicle-related thefts, following a rise in the theft of high-value vehicles in the Ellesmere Port area before Christmas.

Jake Nicholas Fagan, 19, of Exeter Road, Ellesmere Port, 24-year-old Liam Greenwood, of Rodney Street, Wirral, and a 17-year-old boy have

been charged with a total of nine burglary offences.

Jamie Kirby, 20, and a 17-year-old boy, both from the Norris Green area of Liverpool, were arrested and charged for driving offences involving two vehicles stolen from the burglaries.

Four of the arrested men are currently on remand awaiting trial, the fifth man has been released on bail.
