The headmistress of the Firs School has demonstrated the importance of the school’s new defibrillator to Year 3 Pupils.

Lucy Davies said: “There is nothing more important than creating a safe and secure environment for children. At the Firs School we feel the primary years are the formative years and that being inspired to learn about a broad range of topics is more important than simply being taught facts.”

Mrs Davies also explained to the pupils how their heart was the size of a fist.

The Firs School recently received the School Games Silver Award for its commitment to sporting activities and is based in Newton Lane in Chester.
