A pupil at The Firs School in Chester has won a competition to design a Christmas card for the Bishop of Chester and his wife.

Prashanti Guruprasad’s design has now been printed and sent all over the world as the official Christmas card from the Rt Rev Dr Peter Forster and his wife Elizabeth.

The competition is an annual one and the Firs was chosen this year.

Prashanti and runners up Emily Dougherty and Summer Longman, were treated to tea at the Bishop’s House in the city as their prize.

Headteacher Lucy Davies said: “We were delighted to be chosen this year and I was very proud of the cards designed by our pupils.

“Congratulations to our finalists who were thrilled to enjoy tea with the Bishop’s wife Elizabeth Forster.”
