Once again Lache Community Centre in Chester was transformed into a winter wonderland for the Christmas Frost Fayre.

Local groups and organisations provided stalls for residents to enjoy last minute Christmas shopping and games.

Father Christmas arrived to greet children and presented gifts as children from Lache Primary School and St Clare’s Primary School entertained residents by singing Christmas carols. The event culminated in the switching on of the Christmas tree lights.

Funding for the event was provided by Lache councillor Alex Tate from her member budget who said: “It is great to see so many people coming together to enjoy the Christmas Frost Fayre and hear the children singing at this special time of year.

“The whole event was very enjoyable and it was lovely to see the children receiving gifts from Father Christmas.”
