FANCY was the dress code at Eccleston Village summer fete this year.
Children at Eccleston Primary School dressed as all sorts of characters competed for first prize of a Grosvenor Garden Centre children’s garden hamper.
Entertainment was provided by Tarporley musician Virginia Barrett and the children enjoyed summer games before a mid-afternoon downpour.
The event raised £1,500 which will be split between St Mary’s Church in Eccleston and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
