A NESTON family have paid tribute to a "happy, laughing bubbly girl" who was tragically killed in a horror crash last Sunday (July 19).

Nineteen year old Michaela Favager was killed along with her three friends, John Aston, 19, Edward Smith, 19 and Gillian Fowle 43 when the car they were travelling in slammed into a tree on Chester High Road at 2.10am.

The four friends all from Neston had been travelling home after a night out along the A540 heading towards Wirral when the collision occurred.

Michaela’s family said: "Michaela came from a large close-knit family who are all totally devastated by her loss."

They added: "She loved children in particular all her nephews and nieces who in return all worshipped her.

"She was generous and kind-hearted and will be sadly missed by every one who knew and loved her."

The Vauxhall Tigra they were in somersaulted several times after hitting the tree before coming to rest on its roof.

The car the four were travelling in was so severely damaged that it took hours for the bodies to be cut from the wreckage.

It is thought the car may have gone over a pot hole immediately before the collision

Flowers and tributes have been left at the scene of the crash and hundreds of messages of condolence have been left on Facebook pages to the four.
