A CANDLELIT vigil was held at Chester Racecourse last night (Sunday, April 3) for Rebecca Coriam.

Friends and family of the 24-year-old, who has been missing for 13 days, lit candles and released Chinese lanterns.

Earlier, at St Werburgh’s Church, Father Paul Shaw led prayers for Rebecca and her family.

He said: “It is almost two weeks since news came that Rebecca was missing at sea. We do not know what has happened to her, and our prayers for today and every day are that the Lord will envelop her in his love.

“We pray also for her parents Mike and Anne as well as Rebecca’s friends at the Catholic High School. May they be comforted and strengthened until we know for sure what has happened to her.”

Rebecca’s parents Mike and Anne also appeared on the ITV morning show Daybreak this morning where they appeared live from their Vicars Cross home to talk about their belief that Rebecca is still alive.
