THE borough's Fairtrade Steering group has organised a programme of events to mark the current Fairtrade Fortnight.

These include a Fairtrade stall and free refreshments in the Ellesmere Port Healthy Living Centre, a display in the Port Arcades on Friday and a display in the council offices' main entrance.

Events are being held in a number of schools, including a breakfast at St Winefride's Catholic Primary School, Neston.

All these sales and events are being organised to help spread the word about Fairtrade and the benefits it brings to farmers, workers and their families in developing countries.
