STUDENT nutritionists and dietitians from the University of Chester are inviting members of the public to find out more about what they eat and drink, and explore ways of staying healthy.

On Thursday, March 7, Department of Clinical Sciences and Nutrition students are holding a Food and Nutrition Fair at the university’s main campus in Chester between 11am and 1pm.

Visitors will be able to find out more about a range of food and drink related issues, and gather information and pointers on ways to lead a healthy lifestyle at various themed stands.

Stands will include:

The Milky Way to Three-a-Day – aimed at emphasising the importance of incorporating three portions of dairy into the diet each day.

H2 So Hydrated – focused on raising awareness of the calorie content and density of commonly consumed drinks.

Snacks for Coeliacs – recipes and gluten free samples to promote tasty meals with a focus on nutrients that coeliacs can be deficient in.

To find out how you can attend this event, which will be held in the university, acting head of the Department of Clinical Sciences and Nutrition on 01244 513054 or visit www.chester.ac.uk/food-and-nutrition-fair-2013 for more information.
